Faithful Fivers – Supporting Our Intergroup Together
Many of us came to Alcoholics Anonymous with little to offer and found ourselves welcomed anyway. As the Big Book reminds us, we once “poached off the tolerance of mankind.” In time, the tables turn — and many of us find ourselves with something to give back.
The Faithful Fivers program is a simple, meaningful way to support the work of Heartland Intergroup. That work — maintaining meeting information, answering phones, providing literature, keeping the website running, and hosting local events — exists for one purpose: to make sure the hand of AA is always there for the alcoholic who still suffers.
This isn’t about the size of a contribution. It’s about showing up for the fellowship the way the fellowship once showed up for us. When members give a small amount each month — whatever that looks like for them — it adds up to something that sustains our local AA community for the long haul.
Whether you give $5 a month, another amount that feels right, or simply hold Intergroup in your prayers, your participation matters. No gesture is too small when it’s offered in the spirit of gratitude and service.
If you feel called to get involved, we’d be glad to have you join the Faithful Fivers — and to be part of keeping Intergroup’s doors open for everyone who needs them.
