Not Under the Rug

The more willing I become to admit it when I am wrong, the less often am I in the position of having to make such an admission. "Not Under the Rug,” January 1967, AA Grapevine

AA Books

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) books are foundational texts that support individuals in recovery from alcoholism. The most well-known is “Alcoholics Anonymous,” often called The Big Book, which outlines the AA program, including the Twelve Steps, personal recovery stories, and the principles of the fellowship. Other key AA publications, like Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions and Daily Reflections, offer guidance, spiritual insight, and daily encouragement to help members maintain sobriety and grow in recovery.

2

Medallions

AA medallions, also known as sobriety chips or tokens, are small coins given to members of Alcoholics Anonymous to celebrate milestones in their recovery journey. They typically mark lengths of sobriety—such as 24 hours, months, or years—and serve as a symbol of encouragement, commitment, and personal achievement in staying sober one day at a time.

AA Pamphlets

AA pamphlets are informational booklets published by Alcoholics Anonymous to help members and the public better understand the AA program. They cover a wide range of topics, including the Twelve Steps, sponsorship, spiritual growth, and how AA works. Easy to read and widely distributed, these pamphlets provide support, guidance, and clarity for newcomers, long-time members, and anyone interested in learning more about recovery through AA.
