Front Desk Volunteer Opportunities
Ever wonder how to strengthen your sobriety while answering phones and pointing people toward coffee?
We have a few opportunities that might do exactly that.
We are currently seeking trusted servants for the following front desk shifts:
Monday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Tuesday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
As Dr. Bob shared in Alcoholics Anonymous (page 181):
“I spend a great deal of time passing on what I learned to others
who want and need it badly. I do it for four reasons:
1. Sense of duty
2. It is a pleasure
3. Because in doing so I am paying my debt to the man who took time to pass it on to me
4. Because every time I do it I take out a little more insurance for myself against a possible slip.”
Service at the Intergroup desk is a simple way to live that out— plus, it comes with the added benefits of meeting great people, staying connected, and occasionally mastering the fine art of the three-ring binder.

And if you were one of those rare individuals who didn’t lean heavily on the patience and tolerance of others while drinking… well, you may not need service work. The rest of us will be here, answering phones and staying sober one shift at a time.
