OUR MISSION: Heartland Intergroup was created by individual groups of Hardee, Highlands and Polk Counties in central Florida to facilitate intergroup needs. We act as a clearinghouse for intergroup communication and activities. At the Group Representatives' direction, we also provide the following services:

Publish "Where & When" Meeting Listing
Publish Bi-Monthly Local Newsletter

Maintain a Local Office for the Business of and the Gathering of Alcoholics

Intergroup Representatives & Intergroup Monthly Membership Meetings
One Intergroup Representative is chosen by each AA Group to represent it at monthly meetings. Intergroup Representatives, as a group, make decisions on issues facing the membership of our organization, give direction to the Intergroup Steering Committee about carrying out the business of Heartland Intergroup, and carry information back to their groups. Every group should appoint an Intergroup Representative. Ask who your group's representative is. Monthly meetings are held at Trinity Episcopal Church at the corner of Stuart Street and Floral Avenue in Bartow at 12:30 PM, the 3rd Sunday of the month. These meetings are open to all AA members, but only the group representatives may vote.

Faithful Fivers
Faithful Fivers are AA members who, in gratitude, pledge to contribute at least $5 each month toward the support of Heartland Intergroup in its task of helping groups and members in carrying the message to the alcoholic who still suffers. If you are able to become a Faithful Fiver, please fill out the enrollment form and send it along with your first contribution to Heartland Intergroup - 1035 S.
